Feeling Under the Weather

My good friends, on Monday I had a very nasty health scare and got rushed to the vets. My legs went all wobbly and I kept falling over, I was very scared as the room was spinning and I couldn't get up, I tried to nip mummy when she picked me up **hangs head in shame** as I was so confused.

The Vet lady poked and prodded me so I swore at her too, she kept trying to see if I could use my feet, when I just wanted to be left alone. She looked in my ears and listened to my heart too. The Vet said
to mummy that I may have had a mini stroke or a fit of some kind. I do feel a bit better now and I'm at home again being spoilt rotten, I have a nice new hot water bottle in my bed to keep me warm.

The annoying thing is, I has to take things easy for a while, no galloping about like a pup and no rough games with daddy. I have to take things steady until I'm back to my normal self :o(

This morning I had an allergic reaction to my pills, they made my face swell up and I looked like a Shar-Pei. Not that there is anything wrong with that if you're a Shar-Pei, but not a good look on a Cocker Spaniel!

I had to have a steroid injection and she stole some more of my blood for tests, the only good thing was I didn't have to have that cold thing shoved up my bottom, that vets always like to do **breathes a sigh of relief**

I has to have an MRI done to find out what is the matter with me, so hoomum decides to crack a silly joke about not being able to find my brain **resigned sigh** she is soooo embarrassing sometimes!

Thank you for all my get well wishes from my twitter and facebook friends. I will keep you all updated as I hear things.

    1. You sure is right there Aimee, I'm feeling proper perky today, mummy thinks the steroid injection has helped a lot.

My cute little face is still a bit puffy but I'm starting to look like me again this morning.

  3. This is embarrassing **coughs** turns out I has a middle ear infection affecting my balance and making me carry my head funny.

Dr Tim was very nice. He also found that I have a neck problem caused by my advanced years. Other than that I'm as fit as a fiddle, what a relief.

Although mummy is still in a state of shock as she was getting very stressed out by the original diagnosis. Thankfully the bill was a lot cheaper than the original she was quoted as I didn't need to have an MRI ...

  5. I hope you get better soon. I really hope they find what is wrong and also find that it is something easy to fix. It's really scary when you don't know what's wrong.
