Jackanory Part Nine

Gosh it has been a long time since I last updated my Jackanory story.

**thinks**

We had just been away on my very first Daft Adventure, and I had finally learnt that other dogs could be friendly **breathes sigh of relief**.

That Summer we went away many times in the House on Wheels, I became firm friends with a Rhodesian Ridgeback pup called Boomer **he was younger than me but he was HUGE** his people  used to go to the same campsite as us, so we saw each other every weekend. Sadly mummy doesn't have any pictures of us playing together **gives mummy a disapproving stare**

It was a Summer of fun and games, I learnt to love the sea and made so many new friends each week.

I'm so pleased my hoomans took a chance on me, and trusted me to go camping with them. It was a massive turning point in my life, some pups aren't as lucky as me, they never get the chance to overcome their fears of other dogs.

Nowadays I'm a happy, well balanced pup when it comes to other dogs, and proof that nervous fear can be overcome if your hoomans make the effort.

It was around this time mummy started my facebook page called "Badger Boo ~ Cocker Spaniel" documenting everything I got up too. It's where I've met some of my long standing online friends, and first started out as a Media Hound.
I also joined twitter as @Puppy_Views and started this blog.

So as my Jackanory Story draws to a close, you are now all up to date with my life prior to becoming a Media Hound.

There were ups and downs, good times and sad times, but we made it in the end.

I hope you enjoyed the journey, I certainly did.

~ The End ~

Authors note:-

Don't worry if you are new here, this is not the end of Badger Boo's Story. The Jackanory Stories were started at the request of several of his fans who hadn't been with us since the beginning, and wanted to know more about his early life. Just type Jackanory in the search box if you want to read all the other parts, or check through the archive.

Badger Boo has a lot more stories to tell...

  1. Badger Boo, star of stage, screen, blog and holiday snaps. I have loved reading your daft adventures and it is really good to know you have overcome your fear of other dogs - perhaps you could have a word with Jazz. He loves everyone with two and four legs (unfortunately, not mice) but cannot stand up for himself, so occasionally he gets picked on.

  2. That's great that you overcame your fear of other dogs. I think people that have dogs that are nice that help fearful dogs are few and far between. I love it when people with scaredy-dogs ask if their dog can meet Blueberry because it helps them learn that most other doggies are really nice!

Thanks for sharing your story and thanks to your humans for not giving up on you!

    1. Thank you I'm a very lucky pup with my hoomans,

Nice too hear you helps nervous dogs overcome their fears. Not many people take the time to realise the difference between fear and aggression.

    1. I hope you enjoyed finding out a bit more about me and my quirky ways Miss Lesley, I sure enjoyed remembering the good times.

It makes me realise just how far I have come in my little life, who would have believed when I was going through my naughty times, that I would now be walking with a large group of dogs every day having the time of my life.

**waves paw and dashes off to another adventure**
