It's Finally here

Today's the day, mum is coming home from hospital at last, it's been 8 weeks since she suffered a stroke in the garden

The neighbours children all got together and drew a lovely Welcome Home sign on the footpath outside of their house for all to see, which was a lovely idea, especially as I'd run out of time to make my own banner because of getting the house ready to accommodate a wheelchair
,

As difficult as our journey has been over these past 8 weeks, it pales into insignificance

Eko came to us with plans to train him as my assistance dog and a successor to Boris, but he started naturally alerting to his dad's sugar levels at around 5 months old and was reliably

It's Been a Slow Week #WeekendSmile {24}

Hello Everypawdy

Not a lot has been happening here as mummy is still recovering from her operation, she finds it hard to walk me with her crutches, so I've not been out much this week, it's not my fault she's a slow coach and can't keep up with me.

It's been very warm down here in the South of England, to be honest all I've felt like doing is just lazing around in the garden.

Last night I discovered a Toad in the garden.
I froze, stared at it and growled but it refused to move, it was blocking my way back into the house

Eventually mummy came out to investigate as I was outside for longer than is usual, she saw Me staring down the Toad and proceeded to laugh at Me.
After a little while she came outside and just picked me up and carried me back inside, still laughing all the time.
 How rude is that?

Luckily I have my very own paddling pool tray of water in the garden to play in as I please, I used to have a nice big one that mummy had to blow up, but I chewed a hole in it a few years ago and she won't get me another one, she says I'll chew that one too, but I promise I won't.

In this hot weather please keep a look out for dogs whose owners unbelievably still haven't got the message that leaving a dog in a hot car is like roasting a chicken, and will kill us.

If you see a dog in a car on a warm day the RSPCA advice is to call the Police on 999.
If the police are unable to attend, call the RSPCA 24-hour cruelty line on 0300 1234 999 or if you are in Scotland: 03000 999 999 for SSPCA
(Please store this number on your mobile phone!)

Please be vigilant, dogs are relying on you to educate their owners and save them!

Hope you all have a pawtastic weekend.

Smile it's the Weekend [23]

Good Morning Everypawdy.

Last week I couldn't post because mummy was spending a few days living at the Vets People Hospital, she was getting given a new knee, so I had to go and stay with my good buddy Blue the Labrador and her lovely people.

I was hoping mummy would come home wearing a Cone of Shame, then I could laugh my paws off at her and take picture like she does to me.

Big disappointment!

Did you know Hoomans don't ever get to wear one, how wrong is that!!!
I've a good mind to put paw to paper and complain.
Especially as my good friend Mr Darcy has to wear one at the moment, cos he was, OMP I'm not sure I can physically say what happened to him at the vets **feels faint at the thought** I gotta say it **whispers** castrated.

Poor Mr Darcy, I wish you well and hope you make a speedy recovery **breathes huge sigh of relief**
I'm so glad it wasn't me.

Had some lovely early morning walks with Blue and her people.

They are very kind to me but obviously didn't get the memo that I'm actually meant to be in the picture, but you gets the idea I'm sure.

When mummy came out of the Vets People Hospital I was allowed to come home again, but before I could put on my Nurse Badger hat, I needed a good long snooze after playing hard with Blue for a few days.

Mummy is now recovering well and took me for a little walk yesterday, but crikey she's so slow, I was very good and didn't pull too much to give her chance to keep up, she only ran me over once with the wheely thing she has to use, so I'll be keeping my eye on that from now on, it didn't hurt but it sure made me jump.

Hope you all have a pawtastic weekend.
