Its Been a While...

Hello everyone, sorry it's been a while since last updated on here.
I decided to take a month off from crafting, because after a very hectic December and Himself being so unwell I was exhausted both physically and mentally.

I just needed to stop and take some time out, I continued to knit for myself and spent a cold and dark Christmas, Godalming was seriously hit with floods and power cuts you may have seen it on the news, unpicking and reknitting a jumper that I'd made, I've lost so much weight since I made it, it needed the
sleeves and body drastically shortened.

I've still been reading your blogs and keeping up with your goings on, although not always commenting.
Something I have been seeing a lot about lately is Digi Stamps, I have to confess I wasn't to sure about them at first, but as I couldn't seem to get my MoJo back and get back into crafting, I decided to have a play around with one of the free ones on Handmade Harbour, a sort of try before you buy offer.
I opted to try the Elephant one as I love Elephants, it was really easy to download and resize, I did have a few problems printing it out and trying to get it on the right side of the card, but I think that was more to do @ me being computer illiterate than anything wrong with the stamp.

I decided to play around with my watercolours which is a technique I'm trying to learn at the moment and I was very happy with the result. I also used the "So Many Smiles..." stamp from Stampin Up Petite Pairs. @

I've linked this post to the Midweek Papercraft Challenge and Smile it's the Weekend.

Have a great weekend and I'll see you next week.

  3. Your card looks amazing Dawn! I'm glad you enjoyed using my digi - I do think a bit of practice helps with the resizing element of using them, although the fact that they *can* be resized is of course one of their advantages. The watercolours look fab x
