Pigs in Mud

The weather has taken a turn here in the UK and the gorgeous colours of Autumn have arrived, there's a constant chill in the air that you can feel on even  the sunniest of days, although it's not yet cold enough for coats, just a thin jumper is enough

Mud Mud Glorious Mud

As much as mummy moans at me for rolling in the Fox's Poopy I'm pretty sure she's glad I'm not like this pup!

**thinks**
But what's to stop me trying it next time I'm out with all the rain and flood water around here at the moment.
Ok maybe not the mud, but how abouts a muddy puddle? That could be fun too!
 **muffled giggles behind paws**

Do you think mummy will mind?
I don't care! I'm doing it next time we go out.
**sniggers**
She's gonna get a surprise BOL.

Smile it's Friday

There's nothing quite like having a bit of Roughhouse Playtime with my hooman. He sure knows how to play good and I love to be rolled around the floor.

OMP that tickles!!

Sometimes I has to use a paw lock on him, as he tickles me so much I has to show him who's the boss, cos he gets too over excited and mummy had to tell him off  **muffled giggles behind paws**

Got you daddy, you can't tickle me now

The Joy of Being Me

There really is nothing better than a good gallop around the woods on a chilly morning, to keep this old pup young at heart.

I'm coming through mummy, so you'd best get outta my way cos I can't stop BOL

I Love Snow

It's here, the snow has arrived!
I'm so excited, I just love the snow, don't you? I can't wait to start playing in it **sits impatiently** but we have to do the photo posing first **resigned sigh**

We are so lucky, behind our house is a private lane, the most ideal place to play in the snow, as nobody drives down it. So off we head, but before the fun can begin we has to do the photo posing again **sigh** me and daddy knows better than to argue with mummy about this, she is the Boss after all...

I don't normally allow the hoomans to be in the pictures with me, as they are weird looking things standing there on their two legs, they spoil the pictures of Me!
But as they don't distract you from my cuteness in these, I decided to make an exception this time, I know I'm getting soft in my old age.

Me and Daddy
Me and Mummy

I think mummy looks a bit like Father Christmas with her big red coat on **muffled giggles behind paws** but shhhhh don't tell her I said that, she will not be happy BOL.

As you can tell I wanted to get off and play so I wouldn't look at the camera, this picture posing was taking far too long for my liking when there is snow to play in!

Oh No, guess what?
They forgot to bring the ball!
So I chasing things called snowballs, it was great fun.

BUT
Where do they go?

I wasn't able to pick up a single one of them, which was a little frustrating and very confusing.

Then I found a stick to play with, and mummy told me to LEAVE IT in a massive voice that made me jump. I know I'm not allowed to play with sticks as they are dangerous, I think as they forgot to bring my ball it was a little unfair, but we have to humour the hoomans don't we? They likes to think they control us, so it was back to the silly old snowballs again.

Before I knew it I was covered in snow, they kept kicking snow towards me, which was fun to run into.

They kept throwing them silly snowballs at each other and making lots of noise and laughing, so I joined in barking my head off, we had so much fun, I wish we had snow so much more often in this country.

The one problem with short legs in the snow is snow bobbles, yes they look funny, but they aren't very nice at all. They make my fur pull and it can get sore if  I'm left too long with them.

Sadly snow bobbles always dictate the end of our fun. My hoomans always have my welfare at heart, so back home we went and into my nice warm towel bag to defrost.

If I'm lucky the snow will still be here tomorrow for another game.

The Best Christmas Present Ever

I hope everypawdy had a pawsome Christmas?

For several years now mummy has been trying to track down my breeder, she moved house and every year she sends us a Christmas Card but never ever puts her address **shakes head at hoomans daftness**

Well I has some good news, we has found her!

Mummy was clearing out a cupboard and found a very old card with an address and phone number on it. Onto the phone she got and it was her, it was Sabine my breeder and they talked for ages!

What a wonderful Christmas present for me, too find out that all my siblings are alive and well. Soon I will get to see some pictures of them all, and hopefully we will all get a chance to meet up again as I haven't seen them for many years.

It will be the greatest "Old Dog, Puppy Pawty" ever (we are all 11 years young now), sadly my birth mummy won't be there, as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge earlier this year which I was sad to hear, but crikey 15 years young was a great age to get too.

As the Old Year draws to a close and the New Year draws closer, my thoughts turn to all the pups that were given as presents at Christmas, and will sadly be too much for their new owners, and get dumped into an already overflowing Rescue system come January.

How very sad for them, not to have the great start in life that most of us get, hopefully they will find new forever homes very soon.

I hear a whisper at home that mummy is thinking of  getting another dog now she isn't working. She has a passion for older dogs, as pups are far too energetic for her nowadays with here dodgy knee's.

So it's paws crossed that I may soon have a new friend to accompany me on my Daft Adventures.

Happy New Year.

Winter Walks

Most nights mummy takes me for a walk through the woods to meet daddy from the train station.

It's very, very dark and there are no lights in the woods. The best bit about these walks is nopawdy can see what I'm getting up too, so I can go off and find all sorts of mischief.

I spend most of the Winter walking in the dark with my hoomans, the only exception being the weekends when they are home during the day.

I do get to see daylight though don't worry, Miss Jackie my walker takes me out to play with my friends whilst the hoomans are working, so it's not all bad cos we has so much fun.

But my favorite walks are with my own hoomans, cos lets face it, they are mine and I now have them fairly well trained to do what I want, when I want.
