A Quick Round Up

Hello and welcome its Smile it's Friday time again.

Things have warmed up again over here in the UK, but we've not been out and about very much, so here's a few pics of me in the sun with my spiffing new haircut and a little bit of why my posts have dropped off a bit lately.

Daddy is in in lots of pain still and is having another operation next week, so it'll be "Nurse Badger" duties for me again.

I'll be giving daddy lots cuddles and attention, also putting my tiny feet in places that hurt to help him on the road to recovery.

He loves it when I do that, as you know the louder hoomans say your name, the more they love you and want you to carry on what your doing.

Mummy has been busy making stuff for her first Craft Fair in my bedroom, the floor is now covered with these horrid little sticky things, bits of paper and lots of mess all over the place.

They're all in my VetBed and stuck in my ears, although they're out of my ears now cos I's been groomed, but you knows what I mean, just take a look at the state of her desk.

What a mess!!!  **shakes head in disbelief**
You can just see the my VetBed in the bottom left corner, directly in the firing line for the bin **resigned sigh*

Me thinks she's trying to take over my room and drive me out!

I will NOT allow her to take over in there, I'm holding my very own Sit-In and I will win cos I sleeps and refuses to move out of her way if she wants to get past BOL

Hope your all keeping well, now lets see who else is smiling his weekend :o)

The Best Christmas Present Ever

I hope everypawdy had a pawsome Christmas?

For several years now mummy has been trying to track down my breeder, she moved house and every year she sends us a Christmas Card but never ever puts her address **shakes head at hoomans daftness**

Well I has some good news, we has found her!

Mummy was clearing out a cupboard and found a very old card with an address and phone number on it. Onto the phone she got and it was her, it was Sabine my breeder and they talked for ages!

What a wonderful Christmas present for me, too find out that all my siblings are alive and well. Soon I will get to see some pictures of them all, and hopefully we will all get a chance to meet up again as I haven't seen them for many years.

It will be the greatest "Old Dog, Puppy Pawty" ever (we are all 11 years young now), sadly my birth mummy won't be there, as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge earlier this year which I was sad to hear, but crikey 15 years young was a great age to get too.

As the Old Year draws to a close and the New Year draws closer, my thoughts turn to all the pups that were given as presents at Christmas, and will sadly be too much for their new owners, and get dumped into an already overflowing Rescue system come January.

How very sad for them, not to have the great start in life that most of us get, hopefully they will find new forever homes very soon.

I hear a whisper at home that mummy is thinking of  getting another dog now she isn't working. She has a passion for older dogs, as pups are far too energetic for her nowadays with here dodgy knee's.

So it's paws crossed that I may soon have a new friend to accompany me on my Daft Adventures.

Happy New Year.

A Day in the Life of a Media Hound

My day usually starts with a game of fetch with my most favorite of tennis balls, it's really old and nearly bald but I loves it so much.

If I'm really lucky and mummy has the time, we go to the canal for a swim, whatever the weather it doesn't matter. Us Cocker Spaniels are a hardly lot when it comes to swimming.

Badger Boo Media Hound ~ Pet Blogger Hop

Hello *waves paw* my name is Badger Boo and I'm a Cocker Spaniel, I'm a little bit naughty so my hoomum reckons.

But I have to say, I think I'm just cute not naughty!

Sometimes hoomums do jump to the wrong conclusions, as any self respecting pup will know!

Puppy Art Critic ~ Pet Blogger Hop

I took my hoomans out for an educational trip last weekend, but I don't think they paid much attention to my critique, they just kept chatting and pointing at things then walking on.

We went to the Sculpture Park in Churt, Surrey. Every time we go, there are new things to see. The weather was warm, but as we were in the woods it made the day just right.

There were lots of secluded ponds, and I was disappointed that my hoomans wouldn't let me go for a quick swim. As you an see the water was very inviting.

Balls, Swimming and Tomatoes

Had the most pawsome adventure in the "House on Wheels" and my hoomans, we went to my favorite beach and guess what?

There was NO rain!

How pawsome is that, after our last weekend away was plagued with rain.

As usual it was the "Hurry up and wait" scenario, we get there and have to wait ages for the hoomans to get set up **shrugs shoulders and whispers I don't know either** before the fun can begin.

Come on, I'm BORED!

Pin-Up Puppy

Yesterday mummy came home with a brand new Red Collar for me. I think it makes me look very smart and dapper **does a twirl in front of mirror** Hope the ladies can keep their paws to themselves when the see me in it BOL.

Gosh I'm Handsome
I think it shows my Help for Heroes tag off very nicely.

Some of you may be wondering why such an old pup as myself has a bright new collar?

Rain Didn't Stop Play for Long

Just had a very wet weekend away with the hoomans, we were late getting away as the house on wheels had something called a puncture and the wheel was flat. I was going to help daddy fix it, but he seemed to have everything under control, with a noisy box that blew the tyre up and mended the puncture.

He can be pretty clever for a hooman my daddy, he always sorts any problems out to do with my transport whilst me and mummy supervise what he is up too.

Although this time, I decided I'd be better off inside and out of the rain, so I was ready for the off when things were finally sorted out.

A Small and not very Daft Adventure

Good golly gosh I had a fab time out with my hoomans at the weekend, my supervsory skills were required to ensure things ran smoothly, as I was keeping an eye on them at a fete.

There were lots of dogs and people to meet and greet, here is just one of the handsome fellows I met.

I didn't have much time for socialising as I had important supervising things to do.

The first was to get the stall set up, as Himself and his friends are Community First Responders and were doing First Aid for the event. Himself also makes up kids with fake wounds to raise funds for new equipment.

Hurty Paw :o(

Last night I started to limp a little bit, cos my front paw was feeling a bit ouchie. I don't know what I's done to it, but it really is very hurty!!!

I was trying be very brave and hide it from hoomum, cos she has a horrid habit of taking me to see the "Nasty Vet Man" abouts the slightest thing.

It didn't work!!!
She spotted I was limping and wanted to have a look at it, I was

Ambushed

There I was sniffing in a bush minding my own business.

When all of a sudden that hissing, spitting Stalker Cat launched its self at me and scratched my nose drawing blood!

I never done nothing to it!

But I tried chasing it down the road, in case it hurt my mummy *that scared it for sure*

Shame I was on my lead, or I would have chased it a lot further!

Why oh why do pussy cats have to be soooo nasty to me?

I likes them, but they never has the manners to find out, they just attacks me *sob*

But I likes the chewie mummy gives me to make up for the nasty experience.

I would prefur it if they was liked us doggies, and said hello first before deciding they don't like me..

So please, all my pussy cat friends that know me, can you please pass the message on.

I'm not a bad pup unless you attack me first!!!

Silly Billy

It's a good job I'm in tune with my hoomum's moods, I could tell she needed cheering up when she got home today.

Hope it made you smile too BOL

Spreading happiness is a Spaniels job in life...

He Just Won't Learn!!!

I love my stuffed toys equally, but when Daddy gets involved I gets confuddled!!!

Do I want the Cat or the Dog?

OMP how can I decide? I'm only a cutie Spaniel after all.

What I should do is walk off and leave him to it.

Lets face it I do have sooo many pawtastic toys, but here is the problem!

I don't want Daddy to play with my toys!

They are mine, not for hoomans to play with.

Mummy understands this fact, she'll throw them for me, but never actually plays with them unlike Daddy.

He needs more training I'm afraid!

Note to Self:- After Easter I'm going to send him off to Dog Borstal and get Mick Martin to sort him out for me.

Hoomans need to be properly trained, to get the best from us pups!!!

Fox Poop (yuck) ~ I have found the solution!

Fox Poop is thoroughly disgusting, but the sad fact of life is that most of our canine friends find that smell totally intoxicating!!!

That awful smell just lingers on and on. No matter what you bathe your dog in, there is always the faintest whiff just waiting to catch you unawares!

In our house it has become an almost everyday occurrence with Badger Boo! As you can imagine it is a nightmare to live with (the smell not the dog). I've tried everything, even resorted to washing him with tomato ketchup.

Confuddled Spaniel

I can't reply to the comments left on my posts on my Blog!

I's one very confuddled Spaniel today!

Maybe I should see if I can work out hoomums password.

*thinking* It's not WOOF or BONIO *scratches head in frustraton*

What on earth would a hoomum use as a password?

I's going to have to have a long snooze to think abouts this one, so I be back later.

I still can't post, even as my hoomum!
Does anypawdy know what to do? I can't find it in the help section! *sobbing into paws*

Me, Cassie and Mr Darcy

An afternoon out with my gorgeous girlfriend Cassie, and her big brother Mr Darcy.
Being Spaniels we love the water, and where better to play than at the canal, I gets a bit over excited and can be a little bit noisy, but only cos I's having so much fun!

I met my beloved Cassie online when our hoomums became friends, as a result we've met up a couple of times for fun and frolics, usually water is involved, although the last time it was torrential rain, not the sort you can swim in BOL.

It's a shame they live so far away, as I would love to be able to see
my Beloved every day *swoon*

OMP Busted!!!

Just cos I was unwell yesterday, I got banished to the house whilst the hoomans went out in the sunshine.

How unfair is that?

Well I showed them, I made a huge mess!

I killed my softy football and spread it all about the room BOL

That'll teach them to leave me behind, I don't care if it was only for

Oh Dear!!!!

Yesterday was not a good day, I felt most odd!

Didn't want my Breakfast, turned my nose up at a tripe stick then mummy offered one of my favorite chewies, I took it from her then dropped it on the floor, then walked off and snuggled in my bed with my Chunky Monkey cos he is my comfort blankie.

Me and Chunky Monkey
The hoomans were very worried and there was even talk of going to see the "Nasty Vet Man"!
Cos I never, ever turn down a chewy.

I didn't want to see the "Nasty Vet Man" so made a valiant effort to appear well, and wandered around. But they kept looking at me and discussing a visit.

As there was nothing I could do about the outcome, I decided to go
